Through the Blind School Support & Vision Rehabilitation Centre, Sanjeevan Netralaya is committed to supporting students from Government-Aided and Registered Blind Schools by providing access to specialized vision rehabilitation services, therapeutic care, accommodation, medicines, and follow-up support.
This initiative is designed to help visually impaired students maximize their functional vision, strengthen visual abilities where possible, and improve their confidence and independence in everyday life.
About the Initiative
The Blind School Support & Vision Rehabilitation Centre was established with a simple objective:
To provide eligible students from Government-Aided and Registered Blind Schools with access to comprehensive vision rehabilitation services completely free of cost.
Many visually impaired students have never undergone detailed vision rehabilitation assessment or structured therapeutic intervention.
Through this initiative, Sanjeevan Netralaya seeks to provide specialized care and individualized rehabilitation plans that support each student's unique needs.
FREE 5-DAY RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM
Selected students are invited to participate in a structured 5-day residential rehabilitation program at Sanjeevan Netralaya.
During their stay, students receive comprehensive evaluation, rehabilitation support, therapies, medicines, accommodation, and nutritional support under the guidance of experienced professionals.
WHAT STUDENTS RECEIVE
Comprehensive Vision Assessment
Each student undergoes detailed evaluation that may include:
Functional vision assessment
Visual capability evaluation
Medical history review
Individual rehabilitation planning
Low vision assessment
Vision Rehabilitation Support
Depending on the student's condition and assessment findings, rehabilitation services may include:
Vision stimulation exercises
Functional vision training
Eye coordination activities
Visual awareness development
Low vision rehabilitation techniques
Individualized therapeutic interventions
Residential Care
During the 5-day program, students receive:
Comfortable accommodation
Nutritious meals
